FAQ

Will your earrings fit in "normal sized" ear piercings?

Yes! I use 20 gauge wire on any earring part that goes through the ear. This is a standard gauge of wire used for earring wires.

Do any of your products contain nickel?

No.  All SNJ products are nickel and lead free, and great for people with sensitive skin.

I am super sweet and want to send someone jewelry as a gift. Can you ship directly to that person? What about gift wrap?

Yes! I have many customers send my jewelry as a special gift to a friend or loved one. Simply put the recipient's address as the "ship to" address and leave a memo at checkout (or through a direct message) to let me know that your order is a gift. If you would like me to include a personalized message, just let me know! I will leave out the receipt and the jewelry will come packaged in a cute, simple white jewelry box tied with a pretty ribbon.

What does "gold-filled" mean?

Many of my earrings are made with gold-filled or rose gold-filled metal. Gold-filled is made by heat- and pressure-bonding a thin layer of karat gold to a brass (or other base metal) core. Karat gold covers the brass surface, making it tarnish-resistant. The value of gold-filled is greater than gold-plated because gold-filled has an actual layer of karat gold, not just a microscopic film. Gold-filled should last decades (or longer!) as opposed to gold-plated, which has such a thin layer of gold that it starts to rub off after a short time.

Rose gold-filled has a bit more copper blended in to create a warm rosy hue.

I really love using gold-filled, because you can have beautiful, quality gold jewelry that isn't cost-prohibitive.
